CattleController - a web application

Bringing "software as a service" to farmers, CattleController is a record-keeping application for UK cattle farmers. Users type or scan in data with barcode scanner as they buy or sell cattle, treat them with medicines or have calves. CattleController compiles reports for analysis, for access over WAP phones out in the field and stores records for government inspections.

Additional services include automatic email alerts to farmers when their cattle reach critical ages and transfer of selected data into and out of government databases.

The benefits are considerable.

• With no software to install on client machines, the support required is limited to using the application rather than making it work.
• Users can access their records from multiple workstations allowing flexible working from home and office or even wirelessly out in the fields.
